Description
Kindergarten Päkapikk is a municipal kindergarten located in Võru. It operates with ten groups, comprising two groups for small children aged 1.5 to 3 years, and eight groups for children aged 3 to 7 years. The kindergarten values outdoor education and cultural traditions. Besides working with curriculum on daily basis, the kindergarten especially focuses on children’s healthcare, environmental awareness, local studies and preparation for school. Volunteers play a supportive role in the kindergarten, helping staff with daily activities. They can choose to work with a specific age group or assist across multiple groups based on their interests and abilities. Volunteers have the chance to contribute ideas, propose new teaching games, songs, dances, share aspects of their own culture with the children. Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Volunteers will be provided with suitable accommodation conveniently located near their respective hosting organisation. Accommodation will typically be in a shared apartment or hostel, furnished with essential items. Rooms may be private or shared, depending on availability, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Volunteers receive €5/day pocket money and a €200 food allowance, managing their own meals. International travel is reimbursed based on set travel budget and task related local transport is covered to full extent.
Formation pendant l’activité
Volunteers will take part in the ESC training cycle organized by the National Agency, which focuses on personal development and intercultural learning. Additionally, the coordinating organisation arranges hikes and other activities for volunteers throughout the service period, providing opportunities for social interaction.
