Description
⋆˚✿˖° To be eligible please fill out the Application Form through Google: https://bit.ly/3NIb9ra ⋆˚✿˖° Cold-Hill Shelter is an educational family farm and eco-community located in the peaceful hills above Lake Balaton. Spread across 6 hectares of diverse land, our refuge consists of pastures, orchards and gardens bordered by protected forests and limestone ridges. Our infrastructure is a living experiment in off-grid living, built primarily by hand using natural materials and traditional techniques. Our mission is to sustain a vision for future generations by creating a space where traditional ecological wisdom meets innovative, low-tech solutions. We provide an environment where people can explore, heal and learn through direct cooperation with the land. We offer long-term experiential learning opportunities for young people to step outside their comfort zones and master the "gentle way" of rural life.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
For your accommodation, there are two options available: an old stone house or tents. We do ask you to bring your own sleeping bag and enough warm clothing for the nights. During hot days, temperatures can reach up to 33˚C. Cooking is a vital, communal act we all share. Every day, we'll take turns in the kitchen, collaborating to create delicious and wholesome vegetarian dishes that reflect our commitment to local quality ingredients. More infomation and support regarding your travel plans will be available upon selection.
Formation pendant l’activité
You will have the chance to learn about the principles of organic food production and natural building techniques. You can try out techniques for food preservation, take part in garden preparation, learn how to create compost and experience the world of foraging edible wild plants. Your efforts will contribute to tangible, lasting projects. Participate in eco-architecture practices, particularly helping to develop our outdoor shower space, using techniques like building walls out of woven frames, covered in clay.
