Description
The project is based in Solund municipality on the west coast of Norway. Solund volunteer central coordinates volunteer work and support local organisations in their different activities. The volunteers will have a wide variety of tasks, for example working in the kindergarten and the school, assisting at the Little Færøy Coast Cultural Centre, working in the second hand shop and kafe, helping organisations at different sports and cultural events, as well as participating in the Norwegian course.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
The volunteer will live in an apartment in the center of Hardbakke, shared with one other volunteer with proper accommodation. Each volunteer will have a single bedroom with shared cooking, washing, laundry and social facilities. The volunteer will have access to a bicycle. Solund Volunteer Center pays for all accommodation costs, and in addition the volunteer wil be payed 4.000 Norwegian kronors each month to cover food and pocket money.
Formation pendant l’activité
They will take part at the arrival seminar immediately after arrival and also the midterm seminarwho ar organized by the Nationale office.
Profil du participant
The most important thing about being a volunteer in Solund/Hardbakke is having a desire to live in a small local community. It is important that the volunteer is open and enjoys being with people of all ages. It is preferred to have volunteers who want to experience and learn new things, but also take their own initiatives. The volunteer must enjoy outdoor activities in all kinds of weather.
