Description
Organized in a town of Alzira, the EVS project allows volunteers to be active in several local schools/organizations while being an active citizen and supporting mutual understanding among young people. Development, solidarity, tolerance and trust building reinforce social cohesion within European Union. Our project´s aim is development of youth projects, as well as communication and information for young people. The volunteers will do multiple and universal tasks in a hosting organization and help with everyday tasks in the centres. They should also help with organizing activities, support information spread for young people via social media, websites and other media. The volunteer will work around 35 hours a week, including the time in Spanish classes.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Accommodation is fully covered by the coordinating organisation. The volunteer with share a flat with other volunteers, but will still have his/her own bedroom.The flat itself has a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, TV, WiFi, etc. The volunteer will receive a fixed amount of money monthly to take care of his/her own food. (Cooking your own meals is strongly advisable). Alzira is very flat and not that large, so it is not hard to move on foot. There are only 3 different bus routes.Also, it is part of the Valencian community, and you can reach the city of Valencia by train. (30-40 mins)
Formation pendant l’activité
The volunteer will get information on EVS and the project from the sending organization. He/She will also be enrolled by the coordinating organisation on EVS On-arrival and Mid-term training sessions organized by the Spanish National Agency. Also, the volunteer will have 3 hours of Spanish class per week.
Profil du participant
We are looking for a creative person, interested in non-formal and informal teaching methods, with a quite good English Level or Spanish level in order to communicate with the hosting organisation. Furthermore we would also like someone interested in working with children, in dynamic activities and who have some own ideas to contribute in the planing of special days, for example.
