APPLICATIONS ARE ONLY ACCEPTED ON HERE: https://form.typeform.com/to/hiR5BO1v The Interdisciplinary Program is an ESC project organized annually by STPLN in Malmö, Sweden. “Creative Voices, Collective Impact” is this year’s theme. The program is a ten-month (September to June) ESC experience for three young, aspiring European creatives to gain experience working within the Creative and Cultural Industries. Volunteers will form an in-house interdisciplinary creative team tasked with various communication-related activities utilising a range of mediums and techniques. Through this project, volunteers will acquire the capacity and experience to pursue careers in the creative industries. Upon completion of the project, volunteers will depart with an outstanding portfolio of projects and the ability to develop clear and effective communication campaigns for diverse purposes. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You will have a private room in a shared apartment with the two other participants. Around €500/monthly stipend to cover personal costs, groceries, etc. A return-trip ticket to/from Malmö and wherever you are based.
Training during the activity
Working with the team at STPLN, volunteers will commit 38 hours a week to a dynamic program over ten months. You will get the chance to use your skills working in a creative team developing and marketing communication campaigns. You are invited to develop your own project using the material and human resources available in-house. Volunteers will receive mentorship from the staff at STPLN. Various out-of-house activities and collaborations with other local organisations will be a part of the program. You will also help out with the daily maintenance tasks at the house.
Participant profile
We are seeking passionate and creative individuals to join our team and contribute to meaningful community engagement and storytelling. You will help build authentic connections, explore creative formats, and communicate impactful stories across diverse platforms. Working in an international and collaborative environment, you will bring a proactive, open-minded attitude and a willingness to experiment and take initiative. Available roles include Storytelling & Content Creator, focusing on producing written and visual content for digital platforms; Narrative Producer, shaping and sharing stories from community projects and activities; and Photo & Media Support, capturing and organizing visual content through photography and video. By joining, you will work in a creative environment, develop your portfolio, gain hands-on experience, and collaborate within an inspiring international network. We are looking for individuals with a passion for storytelling and community engagement, strong communication skills, creativity, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, who are open to learning and contributing across both creative and administrative tasks. You will gain practical experience in storytelling, photography, and digital media, build a strong portfolio, and work with diverse communities. Prior experience is not required—motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn are what matter most.
