Description

This project takes place with Mondo NGO, an Estonian organisation working in international development cooperation and humanitarian aid. The project offers an opportunity to support global initiatives and contribute to volunteer-based humanitarian activities. The volunteer will assist in communication with candidates, organisation of interviews and trainings, and support project coordination tasks such as reporting and documentation. They may also contribute to outreach activities and the development of capacity-building initiatives for international partners. The role provides hands-on experience in international cooperation and project work in a multicultural environment. At the same time, the volunteer will gain insight into global challenges and contribute to promoting solidarity and active citizenship. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

ESC Volunteers will be provided with suitable accommodation conveniently located near their respective hosting organisation. Accommodation will typically be in a shared apartment or hostel, furnished with essential items. Rooms may be private or shared, depending on availability, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Volunteers receive €5/day pocket money and additional €7/day food allowance, managing their own meals. International travel is reimbursed based on set travel budget and task related local transport is covered to full extent.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will take part in the ESC training cycle organized by the Estonian National Agency, which focuses on personal development and intercultural learning. Additionally, EstYES organizes hikes and other activities for volunteers throughout the service period, providing opportunities for social interaction.
