ReGreen VI - Summer camp in a permaculture ecovillage
RELEARN SUDERBYN
VISBY, Suède
Description
PLEASE APPLY THROUGH THE FORM HERE: https://forms.gle/sw9wYKuX4prgJkFw7 applications made on PASS will not be considered. ReGreen will bring together 10 young people for a 21-day educational, practical, and social adventure in the Suderbyn Permaculture Ecovillage. Suderbyn is home to an international community of people who care about the environment, and who apply permaculture principles and voluntary simplicity in their everyday lives. The working days will include both theory and practice, enabling the volunteers to directly apply everything that has been learnt at a conceptual level. This means that we hope to provide you with skills and competencies that you can carry with you after your journey with us has ended.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Travel, food and rent is covered by the programme. Food will be vegan only, participants are expected to participate in cooking. Participants will either stay in a mixed shared room (big enough for ten people) or in tents. The project is designed to bring together young people from different countries and backgrounds and expose them to community living. This means that all volunteers eat, work, sleep and celebrate together in simple conditions while they build up a sense of solidarity, expand their comfort zone, and learn to actively cooperate.
Formation pendant l’activité
The project will weave together 3 themes over the course of 3 weeks: Creating sustainable living spaces through activities organised by the infrastructure/building domain of Suderbyn. Applied permaculture design through activities organised by the garden domain of Suderbyn. Personal and group development with activities organised by the social domain and the community’s NGO RELEARN.
Profil du participant
The main criterion selection is the personal motivation of candidates to engage in sustainable lifestyle and community living. It’s important to demonstrate a basic understanding of actual living conditions in Suderbyn. Those who show curiosity and enthusiasm towards the areas mentioned above are more likely to be selected. The project setting ultimately involves a rural lifestyle and might not be suitable for those who prefer urban activities. Participants should be from the European Union or have a visa in Sweden.
