Alianza por la Solidaridad-Action Aid Spain is looking for a team of 10 volunteers to join us at our headquarters in Madrid! For two months, you will take part in an international experience as part of a team working on a digital awareness campaign about disinformation in online environments, within both the national and European context, promoting critical thinking, accurate information, and human rights in the digital space. To do so, volunteers will receive training in: 1- the concept of “disinformation in digital contexts” (what it is and what it involves), both in practical and theoretical terms; 2- the design and implementation of campaigns and social actions; 3- the creation of communication materials. At the end of the experience, you will have gained skills on how an NGO works, you will be able to design social awareness campaigns from planning to evaluation, and you will become a key actor in addressing disinformation in digital contexts.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
You will have the opportunity to live together with other volunteers of different nationalities in a shared flat in the centre of Madrid. The accommodation costs and utility bills will be covered by the hosting organization and free Wi-fi will be provided. You will receive a monthly pocket money (180€) for your personal expenses and food (200€) and local transport allowance. You will also have health insurance (Henner).
Formation pendant l’activité
The volunteer will receive training which will cover topics such as: welcome to Alianza por la Solidaridad-ActionAid Spain, welcome to the European Solidarity Corps, responsibilities of the organization and volunteer, Youthpass, Henner insurance, motivations, cultural immersion, etc. More specifically, related to the work to be developed, you will receive training on due diligence and human rights, raising-awareness campaigns and communication tools. In case language support is needed, the volunteer will have free access to online language training (OLS).
Profil du participant
At Alianza por la Solidaridad-ActionAid Spain, we are looking for a friendly, curious, and committed person, eager to meet new people, socialize, and experience a different culture. Motivation to work in a team in a multicultural environment and to strengthen values such as solidarity. Interest in environmental protection, human rights, poverty eradication, and sustainability. We are also looking for profiles who enjoy creating content, recording themselves, or who actively use social media. If you are a migrant, if you live in rural areas, if you have limited financial support, or any other situation, do not hesitate to apply: this opportunity is for everyone! The work will be carried out in Spanish, so knowledge and command of Spanish will be an added value.
