The power of together

Collaborative workshops for youth with rural communities in Eastern Poland

STOWARZYSZENIE JEDEN SWIAT

POZNAN, Poland

Description

Join us in the small village of Przetycz Włościańska, located 80 km from Warsaw, and become part of an inspiring international volunteering experience! Together with local partners, you will support a community centre by organising workshops and activities for children and youth. The workshops are based on your own ideas, culture, and interests — from art, music, and languages to sports, games, and environmental topics. This project creates a space for intercultural exchange, learning, and building connections between volunteers and the local community. You will work in an international team, develop your creativity, and gain experience in non-formal education, while contributing to local initiatives in a rural area.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Your home for the duration of the project will be located in the village Przetycz Włościańska, offering a cozy and community-oriented atmosphere. Volunteers will sleep in shared rooms, with mattresses provided. Please remember to bring your own sleeping bag and pillow for added comfort. Lunch will be provided by the hosting organisation. Breakfasts and dinners will be prepared together by volunteers, offering a great opportunity for cultural exchange.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will receive on-site support and guidance from the coordinating team throughout the project. At the beginning of the project, an introduction will be provided. Volunteers will also have space to plan workshops together and share ideas. Daily reflection meetings will support learning, group dynamics, and personal development.

Participant profile

We’re looking for a motivated young individual with a passion for civic engagement and community building. Someone who enjoys working with children and youth in creative and meaningful ways. While experience in running workshops or facilitation is a plus, it’s not required. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm for making a difference are what matter most. Volunteer should be ready to lead simple workshops, share their culture, and contribute to a positive group atmosphere. Basic English communication skills are required.
