Short-Term Volunteering in Social Fields in Palermo Italy

Description
The volunteering initiative is part of the European Solidarity Corps programme, aimed at young people from different countries. The project promotes social inclusion, equal opportunities, and solidarity by involving volunteers in supporting solidarity activities promoted by CESIE ETS. Selected volunteers will be involved in the preparation and implementation of non-formal educational activities on topics such as citizenship, sports, arts, culture, sustainable mobility, youth entrepreneurship, and human rights. These activities are designed for different target groups, including children, migrants, people in need, persons with disabilities, and NEETs (young people not in education, employment, or training).
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
CESIE will provide accommodation for all volunteers. They will be hosted in an apartment located in the city centre of Palermo, sharing a room with another volunteer of the same gender. Meals will be covered by CESIE. If required, CESIE ETS will provide local transportation costs for volunteers during project activities. Moreover, the project will also cover the travel costs from home country to Italy and return, based on the Eramsus plus distance calculator regulation.
Formation pendant l’activité
Upon their arrival, the group of volunteers will take part in an on-arrival training provided by CESIE in Palermo. They will also have the opportunity to attend an online linguistic course and in case 40 hours of optional Italian language course in Palermo at the Italian language institution.
Profil du participant
18 -30 years old - a basic level of English, strong motivation and interest to work in a team and availability for the whole period of mobility.
