Promoting the school’s European and international engagement • Supporting mobility projects • Acting as an ambassador for European values • Communicating and promoting projects • Organising intercultural activities 2. Supporting sustainable development projects and civic engagement • Participating in the school’s ESD projects: supporting initiatives to raise awareness of eco-friendly practices; taking part in communication campaigns on: recycling, waste reduction, and the fight against food waste. • Developing practical projects: circular economy projects (recycling schemes, giving objects a second life, upcycling); organising eco-citizen challenges within the school; solidarity and collaborative initiatives with local associations; creating a dedicated space or display for sustainable initiatives • Awareness-raising and activities: Organising participatory events or workshops; Encouraging pupils’ involvement in civic and environmental projects
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will be provided with shared accommodation within the school itself. The flat is a three-bedroom flat (3 bedrooms + 1 living room + 1 fitted kitchen + 1 bathroom) and is available for a contribution of €50 per month. This accommodation is shared with the two language assistants hosted each year. The vo-lunteer will have a single room and will share the communal areas Public transport in the Libourne area is free. The accommodation is located in the town centre and close to the SNCF station (25 minutes from Bordeaux and the TGV station).
Training during the activity
Volunteers will be able to learn French through free online platforms. A partnership with a local environmental protection charity and Libourne Town Hall could be considered.

• An interest in European values and intercultural understanding. • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with young people. • Creativity, dynamism and a proactive approach. • An interest in sustainable development projects. • Proficiency with digital tools and social media. • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with various partners. • Basic knowledge of French required to be operational quickly.
