Maison de l'Europe de Nîmes
OGEC Emmanuel D'Alzon
Nîmes, France
Description
The Emmanuel D’Alzon Institute is a private, state-contracted educational institution that welcomes students from preschool through higher education. The volunteer will be based at the Nîmes high school campus, with assignments in both primary and secondary schools. "Nurture, Empower, Reveal": the credo developed by the Emmanuel D’Alzon Institute. This commitment translates into a constant focus on a single objective: to reveal the talents of each individual. This applies to our future volunteer, whom we will be delighted to see develop throughout their time with us. The presence of a European volunteer is simply an opportunity for mutual enrichment. - In primary school: Facilitating intercultural workshops Language initiation and awareness Sharing European experiences - Primary/High School: Promoting European values Pedagogical collaboration - High school: Pedagogical cooperation and Educational cooperation within European and linguistic project sections
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
The volunteer will be housed directly by the school in an apartment with other young Europeans interning at the institution. The apartment will be close to the school and will be equipped with everything needed for accommodation. The volunteer will also have access to a bicycle. There will be other European volunteers living in Nîmes, so he’ll have plenty of opportunities to socialise.
Formation pendant l’activité
The volunteer will have the opportunity to participate in an arrival seminar and a mid-term seminar organised by the Erasmus+ Agency. In addition, throughout their mission the volunteer will receive training in non-formal education and facilitation. In september, the volunteer will have the opportunity to participated to a week of integration in collaboration with Maison de l'Europe with the others volunteers based in Nîmes. Profil du participant
The volunteer will be in direct contact with children and teenagers, so their duties are suited to a sociable person who enjoys interacting and communicating with others, especially children and young people. Since communication is central to their role, it is also important that the volunteer be able to communicate in French, without necessarily being bilingual (French classes are available at the MDE and at the institute where we offer this opportunity to our international students).
