FUNDACION CONDADO DE TABOADA

Description

This short-term volunteering project includes multiple community and environmental activities. Volunteers will actively engage in Organic Farming (planting, weeding, harvesting, and learning about permaculture), assist in organizing a Youth Fair to promote youth opportunities and solidarity, and conduct Daily Guided Visits to Pazo de Illobre in English and Spanish. Additionally, volunteers will participate in the Afforestation Day to raise public awareness about forest protection and wildfire training, implement their own "Creative Project" to share their skills, and organize an Intercultural Night to present their traditions to the local community.

Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport

Accommodation is provided in a double room with the possibility of sharing a flat with other persons at Pazo de Illobre, 15319 Betanzos, Spain. Volunteers will receive a fixed food allowance of 6€ per day, paid on a monthly basis in cash. Pocket money is also provided at a rate of 6€ per day, paid monthly in cash. International travel costs are covered and reimbursed up to a maximum amount of 580 EUR. A public transport arrangement is provided for free, covering 100% of the volunteer's daily travel from accommodation to the service venue.

Formation pendant l’activité

Volunteers will follow online language training in Spanish to prepare for their activity abroad. They have the right and obligation to participate in the ESC training cycle, which consists of pre-departure training provided by the Supporting Organisation, as well as on-arrival training, mid-term evaluation meetings, and the final ESC event provided by or on behalf of the National Agencies. Additionally, task-related support and proper guidance will be continuously provided by the Hosting Organisation throughout the project.

Profil du participant

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and open-minded young volunteers who are eager to engage in community and environmental activities. The ideal candidate should have an interest in organic farming, sustainable lifestyle practices, and cultural exchange. Since the project involves daily interaction with the local community through guided visits, public events, and workshops, volunteers should possess good communication skills, adaptability, and a strong sense of solidarity. No specific prior experience is required, but a proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative in creative tasks and teamwork are highly valued.
