Inclusion and diversity assistant

Klaster Innowacji Społecznych

Gliwice, Pologne

Description

You support young people with fewer opportunities and war refugees from Ukraine in their daily life in Gliwice. Working with our team, you help newcomers settle in, build social bonds and feel part of the community. This builds on our "Mosty nadziei" work with refugees and years of hosting international volunteers. A role for someone who likes people, listens well and wants integration to be real. Join Klaster Innowacji Spolecznych, an ESC host organisation in Gliwice, in daily work with young people with fewer opportunities and war refugees from Ukraine. You build on our experience from Mosty Nadziei and the Silesian Migrant Career Centre. What you do: support daily language practice through relaxed conversations, help organise integration events, offer one-to-one support to newcomers facing everyday challenges, give emotional support and help people settle into a new environment, promote equality and diversity.

Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport

The foundation provides a furnished room in Gliwice, within easy reach of our office. Volunteers receive a monthly food allowance (6 EUR per day) and pocket money (6 EUR per day), about 360 EUR per month in total. Travel costs to and from Poland are reimbursed according to European Solidarity Corps distance bands, and every volunteer is covered by the ESC insurance scheme. Some activities take place at our educational centre in Miedzybrodzie Bialskie in the Beskidy mountains; transport for these trips is organised and covered by the foundation.

Formation pendant l’activité

The volunteer receives preparatory support before departure, on-arrival training and a mid-term evaluation organised by the Polish National Agency, weekly Polish language support plus access to the Online Language Support (OLS), a personal mentor with regular one-to-one meetings, and ongoing support from the coordinating team. Learning outcomes are documented throughout the activity and confirmed with a Youthpass certificate.
