Description
Are you interested in working with young people and trying out new ideas in the youth organisation? Democracy in Motion offers you the chance to get involved in its activities for youth and gain experience while contributing your own ideas and creativity.
During your volunteering experience, you will support the preparation and implementation of workshops, escape games, camps and different events focusing on topics such as democracy, social media, political education and diversity in society.
You will have the opportunity to:
- support and co-facilitate activities for young people;
- help organise interactive workshops, events and camps;
- discover non-formal education methods;
- contribute your own ideas and help turn them into actions;
- participate in projects dealing with democracy, media and diversity;
- develop your communication, management, teamwork and leadership skills.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
You will be accommodated in a single room with shared bathroom and kitchen. Together with the pocket money the volunteer will receive monetary value for free meals paid in cash if the meals are not provided in one of our institutions. The monetary value is currently maximum 300,00 EUR monthly. The monetary value for free meals is calculated each month. All volunteers receive a monthly ticket for the local transportation within Frankfurt (Oder).
Formation pendant l’activité
Volunteers will participate in the obilgated On-Arrival Training and Mid-Term-Meeting. Besides that there will be an orientation after arrival. One language course for German language will be financed for the volunteer upon request. Volunteers have the chance to take part in other training opportunities that are related to the current tasks. We are open to support each volunteers interests and try to provide opportunities.
Profil du participant
We do not require any specific previous experience or professional qualifications. What matters most to us is your curiosity, openness, motivation to learn and enjoyment of working with people. We do not expect you to know everything from the beginning. Our team will support you throughout the experience, helping you with new tasks, discover your strengths and develop new competences.
German language skills at a minimum A2 level are compulsory, as German will be needed for everyday communication and activities with young people.
