Innovation and creativity at Andage - Marche en Famenne

ASSOCIATION DES COMPAGNONS BATISSEURS

Andage ASBL

Marche-en-Famanne, Belgique

Description

The missions of the non-profit organization ANDAGE is to develop innovative projects and responses adapted to the needs of people with physical, mental or multiple disabilities, adults and children and their families. Andage proposes different activities, collective or not, within their services (workshops about carpentry, handcraft, gardening, music, sport) or outside (visits, excursions). It also runs the ‘Alter Boutique’, a swap place (shop) in the town of Marche-en-Famenne, where anyone can come and swap items, have a cup of coffee or admire the constantly displayed local artists exhibitions. Role of the volunteer: support the team to implement new projects; join and propose different workshops (art, cooking, gardening...); help with the logistics and support the group life at the community house "Le Cerisier"; punctually help in the swap shop. Meetings will be organised weekly to plan your tasks. You will also benefit from the support of a tutor.

Accomodation: The volunteers will have a private room in a fully-equipped shared house in the city of Marche-en-Famenne, with 6 other ESC volunteers. The house is located in the city centre (on a short foot-distance from the workplace) and has all the modern facilities. Food: the volunteer will receive a monthly allowance and will take care of the meals by themself. Participation in the European Solidarity Corps is free of charge for the participant, except for exceptional contribution to travel costs. Freeboard and lodging + pocket money.
