Description
Primary School No. 24 with Bilingual Departments in Białystok is a vibrant state school welcoming 552 students and supported by a team of 54 teachers. The school offers a dynamic educational environment that combines standard curriculum with bilingual streams, modern learning methods, and a strong focus on intercultural openness.
Volunteer's responsibilities will include:
- Learning Support & Common Room: Helping students with homework and educational tasks in the school common room (świetlica).
- Creative & Practical Workshops: Assisting in hands-on activities such as cooking, basic sewing, arts and crafts, and sports innovations.
- Recess & Active Play: Organizing energetic games, sports, and team activities for children during lesson breaks.
- Intercultural Workshops: Sharing your native culture, language, and traditions through interactive presentations, quizzes, and workshops.
- Initiating Own Projects: Proposing and implementing your own creative initiatives, workshops, or club activities based on your personal interests and skills.

Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
The coordinating organization rents a flat in the city of Bialystok. Here lives the volunteer together with other volunteers or with students, has own room and common bath and kitchen. The volunteer gets a monthly ticket for city travel. The coordinating organization pays also the travel expenses connected with the on-arrival training and the mid-term meeting on the base of original tickets. The volunteer gets from the coordinating organization money for food and pocket money.
Formation pendant l’activité
Volunteers will participate in training courses provided by the Polish National Agency (On-arrival and Mid-term meeting).
Profil du participant
We are looking for volunteers ready to collaborate with children in age between 7-15 years old. Someone who is passionate about working with kids, helping them and developing their skills. School has very good conditions - spacious rooms, a beautiful gymnasium room with stands, a common room and modern playgrounds and sports fields, so it’s important to use it all! We would like to welcome someone with an open mind and heart. We believe that thanks to this project youth from school will be enriched with new perspectives and views, which will result in greater tolerance for otherness.
