Arts Lab 8.0 | Are you a D A N C E R?
ASOCIATIA SUPER TINERI (ASIRYS)
Târgu Frumos, Rumanía
Descripción
If dance is your passion and movement is how you connect with people, tell stories and spark change, Arts Lab is calling you! 16 international artists have already joined our team, and we're searching for only one final dancer. You'll create choreographies, performances and movement experiences inspired by the local heritage, and not only. You'll lead dance workshops with children and young people, join artistic residencies and caravans across Romania, perform at festivals and community events, and collaborate with musicians, actors, ceramists and visual artists. Your work will also bring movement and emotion to five experiential museums in our town. Expect a challenging & creative journey. You'll build your portfolio, expand your artistic practice and form international connections. Discover Arts Lab: https://canva.link/artslabeight. Apply ASAP for our last spot: https://forms.gle/CAMNkNUoaGjsFeUS7.
Alojamiento, manutención y transporte
You'll live with fellow artists in a triple room at Act House, our youth centre (Cucuteni no. 8, Târgu Frumos, Iași, Romania). Explore your future home in 3D: https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=qfesimaqz6c. You'll receive €150/month for food and €4/day in pocket money, which support everyday life in Târgu Frumos. Travel costs are reimbursed through a lump-sum allowance, and our team will help you plan your journey. Târgu Frumos is a small, welcoming town near Iași, one of Romania's largest cities and a lively cultural centre. This project will make you feel your creative home is in Romania!
Formación durante la actividad
Your Arts Lab journey includes Romanian language lessons, artistic and creative sessions, non-formal education methods and 2 training courses organised by the Romanian National Agency. You'll exchange ideas and techniques with 16 artists from different disciplines, and learn from previous Arts Lab volunteers. Our alumni describe the project as a life-changing experience, and we nurture those connections long after the activity ends. We're already planning a 2028 conference bringing together all 100 Arts Lab volunteers!
Perfil del participante
We are choosing the final artist for a team of 17! Your artistic contributions will shape our work. We welcome creative dancers from EU countries, aged 18–30 with a portfolio or performance videos, commitment to their craft and enthusiasm for sharing movement with others. You'll explore a new theme each month, travel, lead workshops, meet hundreds of people and collaborate across artistic disciplines. You'll share a room with two fellow volunteers during seven intensive months. Apply ASAP by filling in this form: https://forms.gle/CAMNkNUoaGjsFeUS7. The pre-selected candidates will receive a case study.
