Volunteering in youth shelter and community centers for minors
NO BORDERS
Diapason Coop soc arl onlus
Monza, Italie
Description
Founded in 1985, Diapason Cooperative is dedicated to creating a positive impact in the lives of minors and their families facing social or economic challenges. For 3 days a week, you will support the minors shelter in Monza. The shelter hosts around 10 young people aged 8 to 18. These minors have been temporarily or permanently removed from their families either by legal decree or due to challenging circumstances and are currently unaccompanied by an adult. For them, this shelter isn't just a facility, it is a temporary home, a safe harbor during a turbulent time in their lives. For 2 days a week, you will support educational centers in Monza. These are the centers that offer educational programs for youngsters during the day.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
As a volunteer, you’ll stay in a shared flat within the same building as the community shelter. You'll have your own private room and bathroom. The living room and eat-in kitchen will be shared with community residents, offering a chance to connect and immerse yourself in daily life. To ensure your comfort, the hosting organization provides three meals a day. You’ll also receive €6 per day as pocket money (paid monthly). Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to European Commission guidelines.
