The power of together

Become an ESC volunteer at KERIC — in the heart of Slovakia

OBCIANSKE ZDRUZENIE KERIC

CADCA, Slovakia

Description

KERIC is a non-governmental youth organisation based in Čadca, northern Slovakia, running international volunteering and youth work since 2003. We're opening a long-term ESC place for a young person who wants to teach, play and grow while sharing English and their own culture with local children and youth.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Lead fun, non-formal English communication classes for children (aged 8–15)

- Run language and culture sessions in your own native language for youth and adults

- Support teachers across 2–3 local schools (English, sports, art, IT, science and more)

- Help prepare and run summer camps for children and youth - July

- Take part in workshops, sports, creative activities and international events

- Some office work, leaflets and project admin, plus class preparation

You don't need to be a fluent English speaker — your role is to motivate kids to try. We provide methodology, training and full support throughout.

The apartment includes a washing machine and dryer, and you’ll have access to shared café and seminar rooms. Financial support for food is provided, and the project covers travel costs for activities. The building is in a prime location near the train station, city center, and shopping malls.
