MOMENTUM WORLD CIC

Keswick Community Rugby Trust

Keswick, Royaume-Uni

Description

This is an opportunity for 2 volunteers from GEORGIA and ROMANIA to be part of an innovative project in a community sports organisation (Keswick Rugby http://www.keswickrugby.com) delivering active and healthy lifestyle coaching for a local schools, youth groups and the wider community as part of a new "Active Keswick" programme. You will work across generations, mentored by experienced sports coaches and other staff. Your duties may include a mixture of administrative support work and active, hands-on sports and fitness coaching, depending on your interests and capabilities. This EVS will build your CV and enhance your future employability; improve your competences in sports coaching (possibly including recognised qualifications); develop your English language skills; provide leadership experience; and increase your intercultural awareness. This will be interesting and rewarding work in a professional but fun environment, in the heart of the beautiful Lake District National Park.

Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport

Volunteers will live together in rented accommodation within easy reach of Keswick town centre. Accommodation will be in single rooms wherever possible, but in some cases rooms may be shared. There are a number of other EVS volunteers on other Momentum World projects in the area, so you will have the chance of a fun and varied social life. Accommodation is self-catering, and you will be paid a monthly allowance of £200 for food plus £120 pocket money. You will probably walk to work, but there are local buses to destinations across Cumbria when required.

Formation pendant l’activité

You will be given a general introductory training by Momentum World (coordinating organisation). Keswick Rugby (host organisation) will then provide full induction training. Because of the nature of the activities, you can expect to be given continuous training, mentoring and support throughout your EVS. In addition, you will attend on-arrival and mid-term training provided by the UK National Agency. You will have a personal development plan, linked to Youthpass.

We are looking for enthusiastic, outward-looking young people from GEORGIA or ROMANIA who want to work with other people of all generations.
