Activity description

Zarasai public library is a modern, safety, creative and harmonious environment place. The library gives every citizen an access to main cultural, educational and information services, meets the informational, cultural, recreational needs of readers. The library involves setting up a space in the public library on media technologies for realizing young people’s and families creative ideas.

Ordninger for innkvartering, mat og transport

The volunteer will live in a private room with shared cooking and washing facilities. In cases, when there is no possibility to rent a flat, the organization commits itself to accommodate the volunteer in a hostel or dormitory in a private room with all necessary living conditions and of adequate standards.

Training during the activity

European Solidarity Corps training cycle. Preparation, mid-term evaluation and final evaluation meetings done by the support and host organizations. Lithuanian language course. Task-related training by the host organization

Participant profile

Volunteers who would cherish and appreciate the opportunity given to them and regard it as a valuable experience to learn and improve themselves. The volunteers should be able to dedicate their time and effort to the receiving organizations and their communities. The receiving organizations hope that the future volunteers will be active, positive, communicative, ready to help and learn.
