The " EHPAD Emmaüs-Diaconesses Koenigshoffen " retirement home is part of the non-profit-making association,"Emmaüs-Deaconesses» created in 1998. Its vocation is to welcome those over 60 (single persons or couples), be they fit, slightly dependent or very dependent. All our qualified staff's work is centred on the best possible care of elderly people and we aim to create a context adapted for every resident whatever its physical or psychological dependence. Today we offer: -99 beds and 4 temporary beds in the retirement home -36 beds in long-stay care -12 places for the Alzheimer section ( the "Home" ) -17 apartments: Four two-roomed and thirteen large one-roomed, to house 21 people. The volunteer’s task will be at first relational, using : - presence - dialogue - the sharing of staff activities and accompaniment in their help and support to elderly persons In general, he will contribute to the well-being of the elderly persons.

Alojamiento, manutención y transporte

The volunteer will be provided with a room in the Home with refrigerator and bathroom. This individual room with furniture and all equiped is situated on a separated floor from the residents with other flats. The volunteer will take his meals in the retirement home with the Home’s staff.

Formación durante la actividad

Several trainings offered by VISA ad and by the French National Agency throughout the year.
