PROMOTION OF INTERCULTURALITY AND MOBILITY WITHIN A LEARNING CITY

Activity description

This mission is set up in partnership with Condorcet High School located in Saint Quentin. The proposed mission could evolve according to the profile of the volunteer but will include the following missions: - Provide information and support to young people who wish to go on a mobility trip, - Participate in the organization and implementation of mobility projects for students in collaboration with teachers, - Intervene in language classes to support teachers in the implementation of linguistic, cultural and recreational activities, - Implement activities (sports, artistic...depending on the volunteer's interests) to make the boarding school’s life more dynamic, - To intervene in the documentation and information center in support of the librarians, - To intervene in the city's secondary schools to promote intercultural exchanges - The volunteer will have the possibility to develop a personal project in agreement with the host establishment and the activity coordinator.

Сместување, храна и транспорт

The volunteer will leave inside the high school in a shared flat with his/her own room with a sink and will share common areas (bathroom, equipped kitchen). Local transportation (bus or bicycle) will be provided to allow the volunteer to travel in the city. The volunteer will also receive a discount card to take the train. Volunteers will receive the allowances (pocket money and food) in the beginning of every month, by bank transfer and will also be able to eat for free at the school canteen during the week.

Training during the activity

The volunteer will assist to both trainings organized by the French national agency and will be able to choose an activity in the school (sports, lunguistic...) and attend certain classes.

Participant profile

We are looking for someone dynamic, sociable, friendly and able to take initiative. Someone not shy who wants to integrate in the local community.
