Art hub and intercultural dialogue to create a local art centre

Are you interested in theatre, music and artistic environment? Do you like cook or sew, create scenery, draw, photograph? Do you want your chance to organize your own event with a cultural association or be part in the creation of a Cultural Hub?Do you want be part of art and eco workshops and help us organize open air theatre festival and other event in town? Are you ready provide language lesson or create language cafe? You don't know what is the best for you but you are open minded and ready to cooperate with local art center? If the answer is yes, Do It Together! is the project for you! We are looking for volunteers to spend 12 months working with us and who want to develop and widening their interests. They don’t have to have high qualifications, but they need to show that they want to learn new things and active participate in activities of our Association.

Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten

The association is based in Hajnòwka, a small town in Podlasie, a unique region in East Poland, surrounded the beautiful Białowieza Forest. Here, volunteers will live together in a flat close to the association office and in a hostel created in a former train station building. Shops, supermarkets and the bus stop can be easly reached by walking. They'll receive the money for food and pocket money at the beginning of every month. The travel at the beginning and the end of the project, the local transport (when necessary for work) and eventual costs for visas will be reimbursed.

Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit

"Postcard" is engaged in many artistic projects: the organization of theatre festival, a small choir during and parade in Christmas period, many artistic and educational activities (school workshops, events with the local community, language caffe). Volunteers will also be a part of the whole proces of the realization of "Hajnówka Centralna”, a new artistic project which aims to transform the former train station into Cultural Hub. And with the association’s theatre company, A3Teatr.pl, they’ll be involved from the manual process of creation of costumes and scenographies to the acting part.

Teilnehmerprofil

We need volunteers who are creative, dynamic, motivated and interested in different kinds of art (especially in theatre, music, new media, project manager, photography): people who can act, with manual skills, who can work with children and teenagers, etc. If you play instruments, don't forget to tell us about it. You should be able to communicate in basic or fluent English. Volunteers should be open to working with flexible schedules and be independent. We are open to giving the volunteer the opportunity to realize their own ideas.
