Activity description

The MJC Croix Daurade is an association of popular education whose purpose is the emancipation of people by promoting The volunteer will support the implementation of actions dedicated to children and youth. He or she will participate in the different missions related to the animation and management of a leisure center. He or she will participate in the implementation of local activities inside and outside the MJC. He or she will participate in the reception and animation of a friendly place open to the citizens. He or she will support the MJC in its ecological commitment. Finally, he or she will set up intercultural activities around themes and with media of his or her choice. the MJC of Croix Daurade is one of three MJCs in Toulouse that will each host a European volunteer. . The MJCs will set up regular meetings between the volunteers so that they can, in the long run, work on a common project such as the organization of an event

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will be in individual accommodation in this place: http://www.otoulouse.org/logement/residence-jolimont-2/ the accommodation is 15 minutes by public transport from the MJC Croix Daurade. The meal will take place in the place of accommodation but also at the MJC. the accommodation has a self-catering restaurant. The cost of meals is covered by the program. Travel will be covered by the CES program. Explanations will be given by the tutor.

Training during the activity

The mission we offer is very varied in terms of activity. During his mission, the volunteer will develop skills related to: - Learning the French language (registration in the OLS program, exchange with work colleagues who are all prepared for the reception of the volunteer) - Organization of activities for children and young people - organization linked to the setting up of events.
