We are looking for 3 volunteers for the European Solidarity Corps Programme! The main task of the volunteers will be to facilitate various non-formal and informal learning activities for disadvantaged children in different foster care and children's homes in Miercurea Ciuc. The main focus will be on the topic environment (e.g. upcycling, recycling, litter picking, etc.) Each day of the week volunteers will go to different locations in different parts of our town to provide activities for various disadvantaged children in foster care. Through non-formal education and fun activities, volunteers will develop the social and English language skills of the children and raise awareness about the importance of environment protection. In the homes volunteers spend part of their time working with individual children and part of their time working in small groups.Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Volunteers will live in a fully furnished accommodation in the center of the town, max. 2 participants in the same room, with gender-separated rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, as well as bathrooms with toilets and showers, free WI-fi included. Food: dinner at a local buffet-style restaurant on weekdays and ingredients provided in the kitchen for all other meals OR volunteers can use their food budget (150 EUR/month) to cater for themselves. They will receive 90 EUR/month pocket money. International travel expenses will be reimbursed according to ESC Programme Guide, green travel encouraged.Formation pendant l’activité
Training will happen upon your arrival. You will be presented with the cultural differences, will take part in a city tour, and meet your future mentor. We will also make sure you take part in the trainings organized by the Romanian NA: the On-Arrival Training and the Mid-Term Evaluation. For the activities, you will be fully presented with the details once you arrive and will be given all the necessary resources for you to do your research and prepare. We offer Hungarian/Romanian language courses with the help of our local teachers. We will encourage you to use the General Online Training.Profil du participant
We are looking for 3 volunteers between 18 and 30 years old who have an urge to develop their communication and cooperation skills and to recognize their strengths and weaknesses within a team; want to improve their practical skills in the planning and implementation of activities, want to have a meaningful contribution to society, wish to step out of their comfort zone, who are responsible, flexible, motivated, open-minded and able to attend the full duration of the project. Volunteers are encouraged to be creative, proactive, to come up with their own ideas and to use their own skills.Dates de l’activité
