Promoting European mobility in the Hauts-de-France region

Description de l’activité

Europe Direct Hauts-de-France is an official EU information centre in Northern France. Our main goals are to bring the EU closer to its citizens and to encourage the youth of the region to take part in a mobility programme. The main tasks of the volunteers will be: - to prepare and give presentations about their country, European mobility and the EU to different groups (pupils, students, adults, young people with fewer opportunities, etc.), to speak about their own experience and culture - to welcome the general public at the office and during fairs and forums - to promote the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ to the youth of the region - to create educational tools (e.g.games and posters) and new concepts for presentations - to help the team in the organisation of events (debates, Europe Day, European day of languages…) - to raise awareness, especially among young people, about environmental issues

Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport

The volunteers will stay in a small student residence, where they will have their own room. The volunteers will get 13€/day for food and pocket money.

Formation pendant l’activité

During their stay, the volunteers will take part in 2 seminars organised by the French National Agency. One on arrival and the other mid-stay. The volunteers will get free French language classes at the University of Picardie Jules Verne.

Profil du participant

We are looking for highly-motivated volunteers from EU countries ready to commit ideally for a 12-month period but applications for shorter periods will also be considered. They will join a multicultural team of volunteers from all over the European Union. As the project will be in French, the volunteers should have knowledge in French OR a strong desire to learn the language.
