Project manager with an agricultural component in Mauritania

Alianza por la Solidaridad, a member of ActionAid, aims to achieve an active citizenship that fights against inequalities and works for the recognition of human rights. We carry out cooperation projects to eradicate gender-based violence, strengthen migrants' rights and for climate justice. Join us in our office in Mauritania! You will have the chance to work hand in hand with a great team of professionals. You will support project formulation, report preparation, and liaison with other organisations. You will contribute to the implementation of the communication strategy. In addition, you will create and edit communication materials; you will participate in field activities to collect information such as interviews, photos and videos and at the end of your experience you will have learned how NGO communication works in the field.

Alojamiento, manutención y transporte

The volunteer will share accommodation with other volunteers in a multicultural environment with access to her/ his own individual bedroom. The accommodation costs and utility bills will be covered by the organization. To cover all day-to-day costs such as food the volunteer will be provided with a monthly allowance of 534 €. For your participation in the activities of Alianza, a vehicle will be provided. Furthermore, you will have a health insurance that will cover all your health expenses during your stay. We have built the most favourable environment to provide you with a unique stay.

Formación durante la actividad

As a volunteer in Alianza you will receive training which will cover topics such as: induction to our ONG as well as an induction to the European Solidarity Corps programme. In addition, you will be trained more specifically in feminist leadership and our own working policies. In the end of your volunteering, you will know how to work in a multidisciplinary team, both on the field and in the office, as well as you will have had acquired specific training related to the projects we implement strengthening your professional profile in areas such as agro-ecology, social action or women's rights.

Perfil del participante

We are looking for a person with knowledge in the area of agronomy. A background in agroecology and hydrology would be an asset. We are looking for a motivated person who is eager to work in the field with the beneficiary population and to contribute his/her knowledge in the implementation of projects. Experience in the project cycle would also be an advantage. French is a must and Spanish is an asset. If you are migrant, live in rural areas, have limited economic support or any other don´t hesitate to sign up, this opportunity is for everyone!
