Opis działania

We are reopening this call to find ONE more volunteer! See the very short application time! This European Solidarity Corps project is all about youth work. Tampere Youth Services is the main provider of youth work in the city of Tampere. As a municipal operator it provides activities and support for youth mostly in their free time. The target group is youth aged 9-29. As a volunteer you’ll have a chance to be at the heart of meaningful work that affects thousands of young people. The call is for two volunteers. The tasks of the project include organizing different kinds of activities, working in events and youth centers and leading youth groups with special themes. The project includes working in the evenings and on weekends. You will be working in different locations and closely with the other ESC volunteer and youth workers.

Zakwaterowanie, wyżywienie i transport

As an ESC volunteer you will share a student apartment with another volunteer. You will share kitchen and lavatory, but you’ll have your own room. You will also have access to a common room and a common sauna. The apartment is located close to a tram station and several bus stops, so going to the city center and other locations is easy.

Szkolenie w trakcie działania

Volunteers will have adequate support to learn about Finnish youth work with the support of professionals. The learning opportunities for the the volunteers are in relation to: - Learning widely about municipal youth work - Learning to plan and prepare activities - Learning to work with groups - Developing skills in leading and communicating - Strengthening your English skills - Learning new things about yourself - Learning about the Finnish culture and society - Learning Finnish language

Profil uczestnika

We are reopening this call to find ONE more volunteer! We are looking for two volunteers who want to learn about youth work and its forms. You don’t have to have experience of working with youth, but we expect you to have an interest in youth work and young people. Your tasks can be modified based on your interests. We look for people that are flexible and willing to challenge themselves. We appreciate a good sense of humor and the ability to laugh at yourself!
