Volunteering in a youth center

Beschreibung der Tätigkeit

Mladinski EPI center Piran is a youth center in the coast of Slovenia. We are looking for motivated young person for SHORT TERM VOLUNTEERING, to work with youth and children, help in creating the daily programme of our youth center (socializing with youth, playing sports and board games, helping with homework, planning smaller events, promoting Erasmus+ & ESC projects...). Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten

You will be living in an apartment close to work, that you will share with 2 other volunteers like yourself. There are two bedrooms, one bathroom, one toilet, one kitchen, balcony and living room. You will receive 6,5€/day for food and 5€/day of pocket money (in total approx. 320€/month). Transport to and from your home town to Piran will be covered by the project according to the European Solidarity Corps program guide. For local transportation between Piran and Lucija you will recieve a monthly bus pass. All volunteers also get Henner health insurance.

Teilnehmerprofil

We are looking for one volunteer that will work directly with kids and youth on a daily basis (socialising with youth, playing sports and board games, helping with homework, planning smaller events, promoting Erasmus+ & ESC projects...). We are looking for someone who is flexible (working in a youth center means that the schedule can change from one day to another, sometimes you need to adapt activities or even change plans completely), someone who takes initiative, is ok with taking things slowly and sees value in spending time with kids just playing and trying to make a connection.
