Beschreibung der Tätigkeit

Within the City of Strasbourg Education Department, the young volunteer will do his/her service in kindergartens and a day nursery. He/She will help on following children from 2,5 to 6 years old. He/She will take part in meals, DIY, music and singing times. He/She will help the team in daily tasks and will always be surrounded by a responsible. The volunteer will participate to the opening out of the children by bringing his/her own culture in the different activities proposed to the children: music, songs, paintings, …. He/She will participate in the everyday life of the kindergarten (lunches, arrival and departure, nap, to wrap…) and help by the preparation of Christmas, birthday, celebrations… Depending on his own competences and wishes, he/she can propose his/her own project, in accordance with the structure (games, festivals, exhibitions…). He/She can also participate in the development of a European consciousness within the staff, children but also parents.

Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten

The young volunteer will have his/her own bedroom in a Strasbourg student residence. The city of Strasbourg will make arrangements for meals and to make the moving of the voluneer easier through the city. French language courses will be provided through the online linguistic support.

Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit

The volunteer will take part at trainings organised by the National Agency. Before the beginning of his voluntary, he has to take part on a 2 weeks preparation (14 to 31/08/18), which included french courses, administrative tasks and many other interesting activities. This seminar is good to meet other volunteers. It's organised by the coordinating organisation ICE-RF. 2 months and 8 months after the beginning the volunteer is invited to take part on another seminars organised by ICE-RF.

Teilnehmerprofil

Due to some cooperation between european cities, applications from Kiev and Rovereto are appreciated. - A motivated young boy or girl from 18 to 30 years old, - ready to give 9 months of your time to others. - interested in discovering French culture. You have: - basic knowledge in French language and would like to improve it.
