Gönüllü Hareketi (Volunteer Movement) has founded in Bursa, Turkey in 2009.

Making the volunteering a life style among young people and creating awareness of civic society

AIMS
1) Improving the life quality of young people and support them in being proactive individuals;
2) Spreading the idea of social entrepreneurship and creating new opportunities and making related tasks for employment of youngsters;
3) Supporting the equal treatment of individuals, empowering their participation in democratic life and help their involvement to the decision-making bodies;
4) Enabling individuals, esp. youngsters, to protect their natural environment and keep historical, touristic and cultural values;
5) In the adjustment process of EU of Turkey, developing the inter-cultural dialog among young people via local, national and international activities;
6) Ensuring the realization and development of youth and civic society activities implemented around the world in our local;
7) Providing young people open space to gather in their local and express themselves.

TARGET GROUP
Volunteer Movement offers social and voluntary opportunities for people in various ages. Acitivities of the organization generally involves young people from 15-30 (from high schools to young working adults). Activities carried by Volunteer Movement's coordination and collaboration involve people from children to adults and seniors.

ACTIVITIES
Volunteer Movement focuses on different elements;
1) Volunteering: to give volunteering opportunities for all, organizing different voluntary programs within and out of the organization.
2) Mobility Opportunities: to give mobility opportunities for young people, working on Erasmus+ / European Solidarity Corps program and create different mobility programs.
3) Training & Workshops: to increase the capasity of organization and empower activite participation of citizens, creating training moduls and organizing training and workshops.
4) Charity Projects: to empower youth and local people from different age groups in social entrepreneuship, active participation, European citizenship, taking part in decision making process, carrying out several projects.
5) Charity Run: Volunteer Movement became a part of some platforms and associations in order to prove its transparecy and reliability regarding the financial issues and managment of the finance in the organization. After getting the memberships in related platforms, our volunteers or some other volunteer runners outside of our NGO participate charity runs/marathons to support, raise awareness and money for our declared projects.
6) Scholorship: As we support young people in many ways, last year we also added financial support of disadvantaged university students. In order to support young people during their university education, we carry out donation campains and participate charity runs. Thanks to the donations and our own organizational budget, disadvantaged university students are given monthly scholorship during their studies.
