Descripción de la organización:
KulturLife is a non-profit organization and was founded in 1995 by Martin Elbeshausen.
The mission of KulturLife is the facilitation and dissemination of Global Learning as a building block of a peaceful and prosperous living together in a globalized world. The process of Global Learning encompasses the three elements of Transformative Learning, as it changes the learner's cognition, behavior and convictions alike. We have about twenty employees plus several volunteers and interns who are all enthusiastic about the vision of a truly globalized life in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and solidarity.
We have four different fields of activities that target young people in different environments and with different ways of life. In the sector of secondary education, we organize high school exchange programs and host family stays in a variety of countries.
In the vocational sector we cooperate with vocational schools across Germany, for whom we organize Erasmus+ teacher and learner mobilities. This cooperation also allows us to promote the idea of international voluntary work experience for this youth segment.
In the non-formal sector we organize international volunteer programs. These programs are financed as EVS under Erasmus+, but also by other funded programs and by the KulturLife foundation itself.
Due to its activity across various educational youth sectors, KulturLife regularly develops educational formats, where the gap between formal and non-formal education can be bridged, and which aim at being inclusive for young people from diverse societal, cultural and economic backgrounds.
