Tepebaşı Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation has been established in January 2009 and it is one of the 1000 SAS Foundations from all over Turkey. Foundations are also the greatest associates of the governments which help to generate a linear income in the society, maintain the social equilibrium, create social solidarity, steady the social peace, prevent class conflicts and maintain socio-economic stabilization. Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations have established for:

- Assisting people in need,
- Strengthening social solidarity,
- Maintaining social peace

Aims & Objectives

The general aim of our organization is to encourage social assistance and solidarity with leading projects in order to balance the inequality in the distribution of income, support the disadvantaged, strengthen the social solidarity, protect the peace, and lay a bridge between the government and the people in need without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, disability, marital or veteran.

Our foundation holds more than 17 thousand households and we support them with funds, food, fuel, shelter, clothing, health, education, insurance, and old & handicapped funds. We have over 800 refugees who we support with funds, food, fuel, shelter, clothing, health, language support, education, and training to help them integrate into society and to adapt cultural difference.

Our main aims and activities are informing and raising awareness of the European Union and its educational programs; promoting self-fulfillment and personal development of young people through educational programs of the European Union and developing non-formal education, intercultural dialogue, international cooperation, and active civil society.
SYDV has been promoting opportunities for mobility and inter-cultural learning for youngsters from Eskişehir and its region. The association works with local NGOs and institutions in order to involve local organizations and local communities in international projects, This network helps us to involve local participants, when possible with fewer opportunities.

Target Groups & Principles

• To monitor the Income testing within the scope of General Health Insurance,
• Support to persons with disabilities who are subject to social security organizations and receive salary and income from these organizations,
regardless of their background, nation, and identity.
• Fight against poverty with the resources of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Solidarity studies on production and employment in the field;
• Empowerment of Youth (Individual Business Establishment, Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship)
• Developing social projects, preparing and supporting, (Education, Youth, and Sports)
• Employment Aids for young people.
• Youth Information for the Public Services such as support of Business, Health, Protection and Employment
• Working with fewer opportunities and marginalized groups such as refugees, asylum-seekers, Roma People.

Geographical reach & Main Activities
We are a local organization that aims to improve the social responsibility among the youth and the development of society by creating projects which address all parts of the society and the youth without seeking any differentiation between social classes.

Our main activities in the field of Youth:

-Mobilities in the concept of Mobility of Young People, Mobility of Youth Workers, Solidarity Activities and Volunteering Projects with the support of Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps and events in local communities on different themes. Our goal consists of stimulating the personal growth of youngsters, by raising their sense of citizenship, active participation inside society, and a real awareness about their role as European citizens. Decrease the gap between social inequality between young people and promote European Values, European Youth Strategy principles, and Youth Goals through international mobilities and local activities.
-Educational Activities such as Youth Information, Informative Events, Non-Formal Sessions, Promoting Erasmus+ and its objectives in Youth, organizing inclusive approach activities, designing workshops on the personal growth of the young people(public speaking, critical thinking, media literacy ext.) at our Social Coffee Hub which we have supported by Youth and Sports Ministry(details can be found on ORS Portal ar reports.)
-Vocational Activities for the Youth such as Sewing, Cooking, Project Management, Leadership, Digital Learning, IT Skills with the grant of Family Support Center and UNCHR at our main building and international kitchen space.

We try to educate youngsters to a peaceful cohabitation with people coming from different cultures, countries and social conditions, by giving them the opportunity to confront themselves within an inter-cultural environment which stimulates the development of conscience about the complexity of our society.

  • This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
