Beskrivelse av organisasjon

The organization “Soziales Jugendwerk Don Bosco” is a not profit association. It is situated in Klagenfurt, Waidmannsdorf, in the parish St.Josef. Klagenfurt is the capital of Carinthia, situated in the south of Austria. The organisation offers two different social initiatives:

• Youth Point Don Bosco Siebenhügel – for young people from 12/13 – 18 years
• Kids Point Don Bosco for kids from 6 – 13 years

All our offers provide social competence, should be an integration possibility and give young people the knowledge of being helped and understood.

The volunteer would mainly work with young people from 12/13-18 years at the Youth Point and help working with children from 6–13 years.

The Youth Point Don Bosco Siebenhügel and the Kids Point are clearly defined places, where young people of the district meet. 5 days a week young people aged 13-18 years (Youth Point) and 6-12 years (Kids Point) have the possibility to visit our Points. In summertime we also go in parks with games to play and talk with children and youth who don’t visit our Youth Point. The team is formed by three educated employees.

Opening hours: Youth Point: Tuesday to Friday (2 to 8 p.m.), Saturday (2 to 8 p.m.)
Kids Point: Tuesday to Friday (3,5 to 6 p.m.)


Our Youth centre “Youth Point Don Bosco Siebenhügel is a place where young people can spend their free time, meet friends and have fun without the compulsion to consume anything. Beside the fun factor the youth centre is a place where young people can find help and talk about their problems. The Youth Point consists of a nice coffee area with a small kitchen, one room with 3 computers and internet and one room for girls only. We also have a billiard table, a football table as well as many board and card games. Our visitors can also test their talent at the Playstation with many different games and quiz and their singing talent as “sing-star”. Our Youth Point becomes an artists’ studio regularly because our people love being creative. For people who like to do some sport we can offer football, basketball, volleyball and table tennis indoor and outdoor.
