YMCA NESVADY is non-governmental Christian organization focused on providing quality leisure time activities for young people. Our mission is to help our community, particularly youth and children in fulfilment of a meaningful life on Christian basis. We contribute to personal development of young people in our community by organizing cultural, sport and spiritual activities. On local level we have 221 active members and yearly we reach around 500 young people with our activities. We now belong to biggest YMCA associations in Slovakia. At the national level, we have about 700 members. The local YMCA Nesvady was founded in 1996. We have had legal personality since 1998. In our organization we have 6 paid employees who work on certain projects. We implement projects that are supported by the UPSVaR. Two workers are employed in shelter project (administration, accounting, PR YMCA), 4 workers are employed in the Community Center through the IA MPSVR.
Our main target group are young people in age from 6 to 30 years. In our activities we also focus on working with volunteers. We have been hosting and sending volunteers from abroad for over 15 years. We also have 18 regular active local volunteers and several occasional volunteers. We try to provide programs to the ones with fewer opportunities and to socially or economically disadvantaged. Most of our participants come from rural regions. Due to these facts our programs are basically free for participants, some for very small fees.

Our main regular programs:
- Low-threshold clubs for children and youth:
RESET CLUB (targeted on young people of 14+ years of age); M-CLUB (regular activity for childeren of 6 - 11 years of age); RS KLUB (regular activity for young people of 11-13 years of age); CLUB FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS (cooperation with Special Primary School in Nesvady);
-Leisure clubs (sports, music, language, etc.); Club for mothers with children under 3 years; Winter and summer Camps; Daily english summer camp; One-day events (such as Children's Day, Trips, cultural events, etc.); Lectures and discussions in schools and the Community Center; Tutoring of Roma children in a school club.
