Beschreibung der Einrichtung

Giresun Municipality was established in 1866. It works for technical and social systems in the city. For social activities it cooperates with NGO’s and city councils. Also, Giresun Municipality pays attention to working on project basis so there is an EU project office within it. We are,as Municipality, caring and supporting youth activities such as; Streetball Tournament, Beach volley tournament etc., on the other hand International Aksu Festival, Teathre days, and Art days have been organized by our municipality for many years. Sport Clubs and Conservatory(music,teathre,folk dance etc.) are contained within our Municipality.
Giresun Municipality pays attention to Social Municipalism, as a result,City Council, Women Assembly and Council of Disabled People established. Our Municipality also prepares city analyses as a part of Local Democracy Academy project. We are supposing to accelerating our citizens social improvement with assistance of European Experience and European Culture as a result of this reasons In the same time, Giresun Municipality is a contact point for Eurodesk since 4th April,2013. Eurodesk contact person gives more information about Erasmus+ to youth. She contacts them face to face and organizes info meetings. Other side Giresun Municipality was accereditation for EVS last year, this year the accreditation time was end.
