Since 1998 Fundatia Bucurestii Noi is committed to improving the living conditions of people in distress or at risk of social exclusion. From the beginning, FBN has empowered individuals and families by delivering social assistance, non-formal education and health care programs.
Through the project “With the elderly and families”, FBN supports elderly people, people coming from disadvantaged backgrounds or with health problems as well as large families in economic distress. Each recipient regularly receives food parcels and personal hygiene products.
Through the project “We learn together”, FBN provides a non-formal education program. Through this project, children receive ad hoc support with their homework and can take part in a number of educational activities and courses.
FBN also promotes non-formal education during the summer period. Through the project “We learn by having fun”, a 9-week camp takes place every year. They develop lifelong skills and learn the importance of respect and teamwork while valuing diversity. Volunteers from Italy, Spain, France and the Netherlands come to join the summer camp every year, giving the children the opportunity to discover new cultures and traditions.
FBN provides high-quality medical services. Through the projects “Support for an independent life” and “A smile for everyone”, recipients can access physical therapy, medical gymnastics, therapeutic massages and dental care carried out by highly qualified and experienced staff.
