Description de l'organisation

Centro Social de Palmela (CSP) is a Social and Solidarity Organisation created in 1974 by a parents group from Palmela’s community, because of the need of social and educative activities for their children.
It is a non-profit organisation oriented by the families (the board is named between the children parents).
During the years, CSP has grown with new projects and new activities: professional training and employment programs; networks at national and international level (European Network Against Poverty), Ruckewind, etc); local partnerships to promote primary prevention to drugs addition, through free time activities for children and youth, and non-formal education and to support disadvantaged families at economical and social level.
Our main departments, with a total of 90 workers, are: Nursery, Kindergarten, Pedagogic Animation Centre for the Youth and Children (Free-Time activities “Balão Azul”, pedagogical support), Shelter House for children and youngsters victims of maltreatment, Psychological Support, Training / Workshops, Youth Projects (European Voluntary Service, Holydays Camps, Youth Exchanges, etc) & unemployement services.
The promotion of inclusion, multiculturallity and the use of non formal educational methods are a plus in our different social, pedagocical, animation and training activities, at national and international level.
The organisation has the human, physical and environmental resources and a long term experience that aloud the successful development of the project.
