Description of organisation

ANTER (Asociatia Nationala de Sprijinire a Tineretului Ecologist din Romania) was founded on 04 october 2008 in Craiova, Romania. Its goal is to promote the development of civic consciousness in general and eco-civic consciousness particulary, but also to sustain the young people involvement in the civic life.
ANTER is a totally independent association which brings together young people with ages between 18 and 35 years, from different areas without distinction of nationality, sex, religion, political and religious beliefs. ANTER has lot of members and more than 100 volunteers which are interested in solving environmental problems and beeing involved in civic activities. Also, we had different activities regarding intercultural exchanges between people who belong to different cultures (roma, polish, bulgarian, greec, turkish, french, etc). Also, in all of our projects we involved fewer opportunities youngsteers and some of them became members of ANTER Craiova.
Our association has a good capacity of implementing projects, starting with our experience in all the actions of YIA and now for implementing Erasmus+projects. We have an well equiped office and good logistic to manage the implementation. Also, we have strong local partnerships and also international ones that are facilitating the implementation of projects.
The projects implemented by ANTER targeted social needs from different areas such as human rights, children’s rights, healthy and active lifestyle, education for employability, ecological education, social integration of young disadvantaged young people and Roma children, civic education, etc. Every year we are implementing different campaigns mained either to pay attention related with social issues, either for fund raising for people in need, so our youth workers have a great experience in social fields and support volunteers that are developing most of the events, campaignes, etc. Year by year we have increased our number of volunteers either hosted and sent so we have adequate infrastructure to implement good projects, we have motivated and well prepared staff (with formation and licensses in human rights, education, international cooperation, project management, youth and adult education, etc), we have good cooperations with local partners, we developed a good implementation strategy and developed also an good international partneship.
The activities developed are:
- public awareness events
- fundraising campaigns for various causes
- awareness campaigns
- activities inside the Youth Center
- social and personal development activities for children and young people
- ecological actions, etc

The target groups are children and young people from the locality and from the localities located in the Oltenia Region area, especially considering the fact that every year we have increased our implementation capacity and collaborations at regional level, which gives us the opportunity to act through our projects in order to improve the needs of other localities in the region.
