Das Jugendzentrum Betonia ist eine beteiligungsorientierte Jugendeinrichtung, ansässig in dem Berliner Stadtteil Marzahn NordWest. Mit ihrem bunt-akzentuiertem Projektansatz vereint sie die Handlungsfelder der Jugendkulturarbeit, Sport- und Gesundheitspädagogik sowie die der politischen Bildung. Partizipation als elementare Strukturmaxime der Einrichtung determiniert den Einrichtungsalltag und stellt die Zielgruppe in den aktiven Mittelpunkt des Geschehens. Zielgruppe der Einrichtung sind Jugendliche im Alter zwischen 11 und 27 Jahren, deren Benachteiligung sich vorrangig durch einen signifikant hohen Anteil von Jugendlichen beschreibt, die in transferleistungsbeziehenden Familien leben und in einem kulturell und sozial anregungsarmen Milieu aufwachsen, in dem sich die unterschiedlichen Kulturen, Ethnien und Religionen voneinander abschotten. Viele der Jugendlichen verfügen über einen Migrationshintergrund. Oft wirken die finanziell defizitären Situationen der Familien dem Nutzen regelmäßiger Kulturangebote von Jugendlichen entschieden entgegen. With their colorfully accented project approach it combines the fields of action of youth cultural work, sports and health education as well as civic education. Participation as a fundamental maxim of the institution structure determines the establishment everyday and puts the target group in the active center of every action. The target group of the youth centre are children from 11 to 27 years of age, whose disadvantage is primarily described by a significantly high proportion of young people who live in transfer performance relating families and grow up in a culturally and socially encouraging poor milieu in which the different cultures, ethnicities and religions close off. Many of the young people have a migration background. Often the financial deficit situations of families counteract the benefits of regular cultural activities of young people.
