Jeugddienst Don Bosco vzw is a National youth organization recognized and supported by the Flemish government.
Hereby a short description of our mission: “Joyful commitment” that’s what Jeugddienst Don Bosco vzw wants to be. By challenging young people to volunteer, organizing training activities initiatives and other ways of leisure activities, a contribution is made towards their complete development. In this way they turn into able-bodied, social and engaged young people, who dare to occupy their place in society and take initiative in it.

The target group of Jeugddienst Don Bosco are young people between 15-30 years. Youngsters come from all over Flanders and have different backgrounds. We make no difference in background situation, gender or religion. Everybody can participate in our activities.

Main tasks and working domains:
* National activities:
- Training courses for youth leaders and animators on different levels
- Playground animation and support
- Organisation of activities for the involved volunteers and trainers

*International activities and voluntary services
- European activities: international (training) weeks, exchange of animators, annual Short term group ESC, long term volunteering
- Representation in Don Bosco Youth Net (European network)

* Supporting and networking (Don Bosco schools, Don Bosco playgrounds and special youthcare)

* Youth pastoral activities for young people
