Description de l'organisation

Association for Multicultural Development – AZIMUT PLUS – Gostivar was established in 2014 as a non-profit organization the work of a well-established group of activists, journalists, media makers and civil society workers, all working in different spheres of the civil society and media sphere in Macedonia and the region.

Since its establishment the organization has worked on a volunteer basis and by giving individuals as trainers, moderators, speakers or media makers on several projects and initiatives with global, local and regional organizations, networks and media such as Juzne vesti (www.juznevesti.com), ONAuBIH (www.onabih.ba), the only European young journalists network – European Youth Press (www.youthpress.org), etc. giving a representative to the governing board though a joint initiative with one of the aforementioned organizations.

One of the goals of AZIMUT PLUS is spreading the word and raising the awareness of cultural diversities and multiculturalism among young people through different types of activities that way empowering young people’s skills enabling them to be fully integrated in the society.
That said, one of the goals of the organization is promoting international cooperation through the European Voluntary Service by hosting and sending volunteers.

AZIMUT PLUS is also focused on issues as media freedom, freedom of speech, communication, media, environment, active citizenship, human rights, youth unemployment, art and design as advocacy tool, advocacy etc, all with the purpose to promote mobility, youth opportunities, young people’s active citizenship, and to develop solidarity among young people and international cooperation.
