Broceni region’s Youth centre „KOPĀ”Youth centre „KOPĀ” is a place where both children and adolescents can usefully and meaningfully spend their spare time, participate in learning and discussions, play board games, as well as discuss the news and invent exciting events while enjoying a cup of tea. Children and adolescents can see their friends in the Youth centre or even make new ones because they gather here every day.The goal of the Youth centre is to improve meaningful spare time spending opportunities for children and adolescents in Broceni. It also aims to develop children’s and adolescent’s thinking, to broaden their horizons through non-formal education. The atmosphere, that has been created in the Youth centre, encourages its visitors to self-educate, develop creation and relax.Youth centre „KOPĀ” covers several kinds of activities:• Meaningful spare time spending opportunities;• Promotion of learning new skills and knowledge outside of formal education and extra-curricular activities by creating various non-formal education’s events and projects;• Provision of various board games – novuss, table tennis, chess, etc.;• Provision of information that is appropriate to the necessities and interests of adolescents;• Free of charge internet access is available;• Encouragement of the social inclusion of adolescent risk groups among their peers;• Collaboration with other youth centres and youth organizations.The Youth centre offers various regular creative classes which help the participants to develop and acquire new skills and abilities. It is even possible to learn basic guitar playing skills. There are musical, entertaining events which are mostly organized by adolescents themselves and these events are attended by people of all ages from Broceni and the nearest towns. The Youth centre also participates in events taking place in the town, region and state.We have created the Youth centre as a place where anyone can develop their talents, teach something new to others, feel that their ideas are supported and together improve one’s self and make the world a better place.
