Descripción de la organización:

Constituted in 2009, the Gaia Tasiri Association exists to assist in the work of co-creating a sustainable human society, through expanding the consciousness and practice of the science of permaculture.

Its aims are:

1) To promote the protection and regeneration of the environment for the benefit of the general public, according to the principles of permaculture.
To meet this aim we have can eco- village project and sustainable farming research centre to train people who want to learn practical skills.

2) To reduce poverty and suffering.
We meet this aim by providing training and mentoring for young people and adults to help them build their leadership, social, emotional and practical abilities as well as to help them design their professional lives such as creating their own eco-companies.

3) Promote the education of people on sustainable development practices, as defined by the World Summit of the United Nations on Environment and Development.
To meet this aim we have created the Integral Permaculture Academy, which offers online and classroom training, alongside field work, to design and maintain sustainable systems.

Our activities are :
- permaculture formal education through our Integral Permaculture Academy (integralpermaculture.org)
Our academy offers internationally recognized Permaculture Certificates and prepare advanced students to become teachers through the Diploma of Permaculture Design.
- permaculture informal education and capacity building through internships and volunteering in our farm and ecovillage project 8th Life (8thlife.org)
8th Life is a biodiversity, soil fertility, food sovereignty and sustainable lifestyle project started in 2006 in the island of La Palma, Canary Island, Spain.

Our target groups are mainly but not only young adults who wish to learn how to design a sustainable lifestyle.
