Descripción de la organización:

Our entity, the municipality of Lousame, is located in the southwestern part of the province of La Coruña. It is a rural town hall, with the towns of Noya and Boiro being the urban centers with the greatest influence. Lousame has a geographical area of ​​93 km² and 3,480 inhabitants. It has seven parishes and 84 population centers (villages).
In the place of Portobravo, in the parish of Lousame, is where the Town Hall, the House of Culture, the Library, the Health Center, a Day Center and a pharmacy are located. At 3 km there is the Public School, a sports center and the municipal swimming pool (an outdoor swimming pool that has its activity in summer).
The labor personnel that work in the entity are: several people who work in the administrative area, a youth informant and volunteer technician, a culture technician, two social workers, an occupational therapist, a family educator, two sports technicians, a surveyor, a local development technician, etc.

Currently, our entity is carrying out a European volunteering project for the third time, although our entity has had a group of volunteers since 1998 to carry out different activities that they finished developing if it was not for the altruistic help of the people who collaborate as volunteers. / as in the town hall.
From the Lousame city council we are convinced of the need to continuously unify efforts and resources from various departments of the city council and cooperatively between associations and groups in the development of cultural, leisure and free time, recreational and training activities.
During the year and from these different departments a wide range of training activities (photography course, designed band ...), sports (hiking activities, trail, gymnasium ...), creative and cultural activities (magic activities, theater, musical performances, puppets ...), youth, (summer camps, excursions ...) of social services (memory workshops, activities to revitalize the elderly ...), etc. that involve the people of our town hall and neighboring town councils.
It is intended to provide the different blocks of personal support activities, thus involving people and turning them into active subjects of the proposed activities.
We consider volunteering activities to be an excellent learning experience in the field of non-formal education, in which the young people who participate improve or acquire skills for their personal, educational and professional development.

To develop these European mobility projects, we are looking for young volunteers whose profiles meet the following criteria: indifferent sex (we will try, depending on the requests received, that there is equity in terms of the percentage of men-women); age between 17 and 30 years; participative, dynamic, communicative, tolerant and responsible people; participants in the philosophy of volunteering and open; willing to assume the philosophy of the entity and the principles that govern it.
Our entity wants to apply for the quality seal to continue developing a European mobility project because the main objective is to offer young people a non-formal educational experience and intercultural learning, promoting their integration and active participation, improving their employability and contributing to the development of a local community.
