The Council of Fromista is a public Administration that is at the service of everyone, regardless of age or sex. Frómista is a small town which works in favor of rural development in order to improve the standard of living of its inhabitants and the region. It tries to promote youth participation carrying out many actions aimed to various areas of action, it seeks to raise awareness among the youngest promises and does not forget the elderly, trying their full integration into society and helping with this problems that have been suffering for years. In addition, it approaches different topics, trying to bring Europe closer to Frómista through the European voluntary service, through the tourism in order to coexist with different cultures and traditions. Frómista is a very special village, strategically located in the middle of the St James's Way (between the Pyrenees and Santiago de Compostela). Everyone must have the same rights and equal opportunities, even if you live in the rural environment, that is why it is very necessary to develop projects that try to promote our heritage and culture, which has an approach to Europe and so produce a continued feed-back of communication and cultural diversity. The nowadays youth are the present and the future, they must be well educated, open minded, with a strong view to Europe.
