Descripción de la organización:

We are an association with the objectives of supporting and assisting the citizens of Gran Canaria through social, educational and cultural projects. A.C.S.E.S.O. creates projects aimed at providing skills, knowledge and opportunities to promote the employability of people in unemployment, generate a healthier society and better prepared for the future. To achieve these objectives A.C.S.E.S.O. runs courses and non-formal educational training related to communication, computer science and European languages, equality, media among others. We also organise regular community events in various areas of the island to connect people with similar interests and practice languages.
Our youth programme "The European Youth Hub" has weekly meetings for young people to learn about Erasmus+, EVS and local opportunities. The European Youth Hub is run democratically by the youth members and includes volunteers that are ex EVS volunteers. A lot of our members are from disadvantaged backgrounds and also have the added disadvantage of living in an outermost region on Europe. The young people arrange social and cultural events, invite speakers to visit to talk about various topics, attend training courses and workshops with topics such as personal development, career advice and topics such as cyber-bullying, global warming, war and terrorism, propaganda and the media.
