OUR AIM AND OBJECTIVES :
Artisans for New Developments (AND) is a global citizenship association based in Montpellier (France) since 1996. Its purpose is to improve “better living together” both at local and international level. We promote intercultural dialogue and develop intercultural skills of professionals and volunteers acting at national (education, social action) and international level (international solidarity).Through our actions we aim to promote a dynamic of change, both in French society and in relations between peoples, that make our public :

- Become aware of their role as citizen of the world
- Implement new modes of development that are more respecful of people and the environment
- Develop intercultural skills and the ability to take concrete action to make the world more fair and sustainable

OUR VALUES
Cultural biodiversity : Respect for all forms of life on earth (biodiversity and cultural diversity)
Interculturality : Transformation of relations with the Other, different due to his/her culture, without loss of his/her own identity, in order to communicate and act more efficiently with him/her.
Reciprocity : Exchange with the Other in mutual giving and receiving, the contributions from one being an enriching source to the other.
Co-Responsability : Shared responsability permitting to build with the Other another world of possibilities

OUR ACTIVITES
- Intercultural meetings encouraging the exchange of knowledges and practices through film debates, café-debates, exhibitions …
- Training : preparation for departure in international voluntary service, recognition of international solidarity experience, acting in multinational teams, intercultural conflict management, committment to social responsability
- Sending in international voluntary service (EVS, SCI) and solidarity leaves.

OUR MEANS
- Irénée Karfazo Domboué : co-president in charge of the international department
- Alix Bachino : EVS administrative referent : volunteer, to be hired beginning of 2017
- Sandrine d’Halluin : pedagogical referent, trainer and coach
- Team of active volunteers
- 2 volunteers in French civic service
- Rotating pair of Anglophone volunteers
> Functional and convivial premises anchored in a multicultural neighborhood
> Pedagogical, organizational and management tools.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE
Young people 18/30 years, professionals, intergenerational audience

AND is accredited with “ Youth and Popular Education “ in France (N34 09 JEP92) since 2009.
